    Real Therapy For The Real World

    What: Quality Therapy, Exclusively Online! Through therapy you can express emotions, process situations, and make progress toward your individual goals.

    Where: Provided to you in the comfort of your own home, office, or wherever you are! I provide therapy to adults throughout New Jersey.

    Why: You should be able to see the therapist that you feel able to build a great relationship with, regardless of location!  You shouldn’t have to drive an hour in traffic just to prioritize your health.  Your schedule is full of commitments and the idea of having to keep one more appointment can feel overwhelming!  I understand what you’re going through and the challenges you’re facing. I’ve helped countless clients work through stress and anxiety and I can help you too.  I also know that life is busy!   Online therapy is the solution you need to prioritize yourself while also continuing with your busy life on your schedule.

    How: Through secure video conferencing software, we are able to connect face-to-face in a traditional counseling format from the comfort of your home, office, or any private space. All you need is a comfortable private space, reliable internet, and a smart phone, tablet, laptop or personal computer and we’ll talk together!  Through this software, an initial assessment is completed and therapeutic goals are developed. From there, we would work collaboratively toward your goals using therapeutic methods. Video therapy sessions are typically 50-minutes and tend to take place weekly or every other week.

    Who: I’m Sonja, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience providing therapy. I specialize in helping women with anxiety, stress, and work-related issues.

    When: Let’s find some time to talk. We can meet by phone for a free 15 minute consultation so that we can learn what you need and if therapy, online therapy, and I am the right fit for you! I can usually see you within the week, just share your times and days that work best.

    What to Expect:

    Our first session will be an assessment. Think of it as a mental health check up. I’ll ask lots of questions to get a good sense of who you are and how I might be able to support you. Following the assessment, I’ll offer recommendations for treatment. The recommendation may be with me, or in cases where others would be a better fit, I promise to share that recommendation as well. The first session is not a commitment to therapy. You can choose to proceed or not. It is an opportunity to learn more about yourself and about the process. Each day is a new chance to invest in your best self.

I offer free 15 minute consultations so that we can make an informed decision about fit and if it makes sense to move forward with a more thorough assessment.

    Technical Requirements:

    Online therapy simply requires access to a device with a camera, microphone and a strong internet connection. A laptop with a webcam or smartphone will work great! Headphones or headsets can be useful in reducing outside noise and creating a more connected experience.
